AHS Principal's Message
Dear AHS Community,
I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re a student, parent or guardian, staff member, or community partner, you are an important part of the AHS family - and I’m grateful to be here with you. Every day, I feel incredibly lucky to lead this school and to be part of such a caring, invested community.
When I think about what makes AHS special, community always comes to mind first. Our goal is to help students grow into engaged, thoughtful, and kind members of their community - both here in Amesbury and beyond. We do this by prioritizing relationships and creating a true sense of belonging. We do this through coursework that challenges every learner to think critically and communicate effectively. We do this by giving students a voice in decision-making. We do this through partnerships that connect classroom learning to real-world experiences. And we do this by making space to come together, to learn from each other, and to celebrate our collective successes.
At AHS, everything we do is grounded in our Vision of the Graduate. We are committed to helping students develop character, contribute to their community, practice critical thinking, and effectively communicate. These values guide our work and prepare our students not just for graduation, but for meaningful, successful lives beyond high school.
We also believe that a student’s success is strongest when families and schools work in partnership. Open, honest communication - early and often - is key to making sure each student gets the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, share your insights, ask questions, and stay connected throughout the year. Together, we can make sure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
We’re glad you’re here. Let’s make it a great year - together.
Warmly,
Danielle Ricci
