About

Welcome to Amesbury High School!

Rooted in Traditions + Rising to the Future

At Amesbury High School, we take pride in our tradition of academic excellence, caring relationships, and student success. At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to helping students grow into capable, compassionate, and confident individuals. We believe that relationships are the foundation for learning, and our dedicated staff works each day to foster an environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported.

Our Vision of the Graduate guides our work - developing students of character, who demonstrate integrity and resilience; students who contribute to their community in positive and meaningful ways; students who use critical thinking to solve problems and explore ideas deeply; and students with communication skills that highlight clarity, respect, and confidence.

At AHS, we are committed to making high school engaging and relevant for every student. Our rigorous academic programs encourage curiosity and growth, while real-world learning experiences - through internships, community partnerships, and project-based learning - prepare students for life beyond high school. And for students who need it, we offer personalized support to ensure they can meet their fullest potential.

We also believe high school should be about more than academics. With a wide variety of clubs, performing arts groups, athletic teams, and leadership opportunities, there’s something for everyone to get involved in and feel connected. As a small school, we’re proud to offer personalized experiences where every student can be known and every voice can matter. Not sure where to start? Our guidance counselors are always ready to help.

The AHS family - teachers, administrators, and support staff - works closely with families and community members to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Together, we celebrate our students’ achievements in and out of the classroom and help them grow into the well-rounded graduates we envision.

Our collaboration as a school community is what makes these high school years meaningful, rewarding, and full of growth - for every student, every day.
